Éadaoin Ní Challaráin
Éadaoin is originally from Galway and living and working in Sligo for the past 10 years. She has a passionate interest in musicality, body work and self-care practices. Open Floor ticked all of those boxes and taking a class in mindful movement ‘quite by accident’ 8 years ago, she quickly became hooked. ‘I found this work to be transformative in how it allowed me to start learning and growing again and have fun at the same time. Ultimately it is a practice that equips one to be present to life here and now and to step fully into the vitality of that’.
Éadaoin has trained under the guidance of Irish teachers Caitríona Nic Ghiollaphadraig and Cathy Ryan and International teachers including Andrea Juhan and Gabrielle Roth (5 Rhythms). She is an Open Floor teacher in training and has been teaching for the past two years, including in Ireland and abroad. She brings to the table a background in allopathic medicine, having trained in general practice and now working in a hospice, competitive sport; having competed in two Olympic Games in the sport of canoe-slalom, previous teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga with David Swenson, years of teaching canoeing to adults and teens and a life-long love of learning environments that are creative and fun.
Éadaoin is delighted to be offering Open Floor Mindful Movement Classes in Salt & Soul, Strandhill., Sligo, every Thursday.
