Carolyn Sinnott, an Open Floor therapist and teacher, is an accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor based in south county Dublin.
Carolyn wanted to bring to others the practices that have helped her most in her own life. She began this process by training as a Psychotherapist over 18 years ago and then left her ‘safe and secure’ job in the financial services to set up her Counselling and Psychotherapy practice. Carolyn has been a student of dance and embodied movement and meditation practices for over 15 years and about 7 years ago she began teaching regular Mindfulness Meditation & Relaxation classes, assisted on various conscious dance/movement ongoing groups, and facilitated dance/movement sessions for Dublin Art Therapy College. More recently she trained as a Clinical Supervisor. Then the last piece in the jigsaw was put into place as Carolyn embarked on her movement therapist and teacher training with Open Floor International.
Carolyn is interested in working with all aspects of a person: cognitive, emotional, physical and spiritual, so that change can be fully integrated. She loves what she does and is really excited to include more of the embodiment piece into her work. She is accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and is an IACP accredited Supervisor. She holds an M.Sc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Supervision, a Certificate in the Hakomi Method (Mindfulness-Centered Somatic Psychotherapy) and a Professional Certificate in Art Therapy Skills.

Grounded in Open Floor Movement practice and supported by an eclectic range of music, Sole to Soul offers a space for you to tune into the wisdom of your body and move with whatever wants tomove through you right now. The class is spacious and permissive and begins with time to enter the physical space in whatever way works best for you; this could be by stretching, meditating, drawing, journaling, moving or resting.
